You can choose your working hours.  If you feel tired, you can take rest in the day and work in the evening.  If you want to work at night, you can work all over the night and take rest during the day.  So it totally depends on you will or mood.

You work for less hours.  In a normal office, you have to work for the fixed timing of the office.  In the online system, you can work less hours and chose the assignment that gives you the best profit.  You can work up to which you feel it is convenient for you. 

You will not be ruled by anybody in the earning opportunity.  You will decide your income and there is no limit to this income.  There is nobody who is going to restrict your income.  Your income will depend on your skill and the deals you strike with your client.

CHAPTER 1--WHY DID  I START MAKING MONEY ONLINE?

Making money online has a lot of advantages.  Online money making is highly popular.  There are different reasons for making money online and they are as follows:

1.  You can start a business without capital: 

This is a big advantage of online earning opportunity.  There are businesses that can be started without capital and they are :  web hosting, domain names, driving traffic to a website, The person must have  ambition. 

2. Trust in Partnership:

 You cannot trust people or make a partnership for beginning a business.  You will be cheated by your partner.  Your partner will understand your weak points and cheat you by hook or crook for his own profit.  To prevent yourself from getting cheated, you can hire a qualified accountant. You can request information from the Secretary of State.  A legal help is required for reviewing the paperwork.  If you feel your partner is cheating you, stop all relationship related to business with him.

3. Offline business consumes significant time:

  The market for offline business is very limited.  A restaurant can attract client within a 10 mile radius.  So you find the opportunity for the business to grow is quite limited.  The bookstore and video rental store are unprofitable as they are unable to compete with the online bookstores which get worldwide customers.

4. No freedom under a boss:

     There is no freedom if you work under a boss.  You have to follow his instructions and stay inside the office during the office hours.  You have to follow his orders as only by his recommendation you will be promoted.  You have to please him and fulfill his demands.  Even when there is no work, you have to stay in the office hours.  You do not get the liberty of leaving the office and that will lead to violation of office rules and termination from your post.

So you want to start a new life.  You can live my life in your own terms.  You can go where you  like and do what you think is the best.  You can choose your own lifestyle.  You can wake up at your own suitable time and start working at your convenient time.  You can take a leave from work as long as you think is the best. 

You want passive income and the online learning opportunities can provide you exactly this kind of income.  This income does not involve you.  Some examples to illustrate passive income are owning rental property, royalties for discovering something or creative projects and last but not the least, network marketing.   You need to develop an income scheme that will help you get passive income.  So you need to restructure your business model to a passive income.  This will help you achieve financial freedom.

Now if you want to make money online while you are sleeping.  You need to remodel your business in that way.  You need to work as an insurance agent where once you get a customer, you will get a residual income every month.  You need to start a network marketing business.  Selling a book as an e-book in the internet can give us a lot of residual income.  A restaurant owner hires a manager for running his business can get a residual income.  A photographer who earns royalty from the sale of his photos.

Making money online can give you a great lifestyle.  You will design your life on your own terms and you will be free to take leave any time you wish.  It can help you earn unlimited income and you can get the opportunity of earning passive income.  Your earning can increase as soon as you have mastered the techniques of passive income!

You do not need great knowledge of the computer.  The most important thing you need to know is MS Word and Excel.  You must have the basic knowledge of these two subjects.  You may have tried a lot of ways of earning money online. 

You need to create your first website.  You can take help from your friends having IT background.  You will find it difficult creating your own website.  You may buy a lot of books for building website using html, css style, msql, etc.  You can name it and I will show you the book.  You can find all these books in my collection.  Many friends will join you with the dream of making money online but they will fail in the midway.  They will be demotivated and finally disappear.  They felt failures are not the pillars of their forthcoming success.  They could not see the light of success at the end of the tunnel.

You need to keep on trying and finally after many months of constantly giving efforts, you will get the success of earning money online.  So never give up.  Always remember failures are the pillars of success.  Take it as a challenge and move forward!

CHAPTER  2:  THE SIMPLEST WAYS OF MAKING MONEY ONLINE 

There are two simple strategies to make money online.  You will also like them.  The first strategy is selling advertisement space.  You can do this with the help of Google Adsense. 

Google search engine is a very effective tool.  Without a search engine like Google, you could hardly find the right information you are searching for.  The search results are generated by an algorithm.  The spiders or crawlers of Google acts like a search engine.  They work automatically.  Google has a big index of keywords.  The search results are ranked and it is ranked in the Search Engine Results Page (SERP).   Every web page gets a relevancy score by Google called PageRank. 

Just like real estate, the Google page ranking is very important.  A company can grow or collapse just because of Google page ranking.  So it has been found from a research that 93% of all the decisions start online.  You can observe the importance of search engine rankings from the following facts:

1.       The traffic created by clicking is 42.25% and it ranks first in the search engine.

2.        It has been found the second position drives traffic of 11.94%.

3.        A traffic of 8.47% is observed in the third position.

4.       The click through traffic is 6.05% for the fourth place.

5.        The rest of the search results are only 5% of the traffic.

6.        The click through traffic is 89.71% of the first ten results on the first page. 

7.       The second page is visited by 4.37% and the next ten results are seen.

8.        The third page is visited by 2.42% traffic.

9.        Only 1.07% visits the fifth page of the search result.

10.    The rest of the search traffic clicks after the fifth page is less than 1%.

Therefore, from the statistics it is very clear that the first page of the search engine is the most important as it is visited by a large number of visitors. 

Google Adsense

Google AdSense is an easy way to earn revenue.  The advertisements have relevance.  They keep us engaged.  They usually appear beside our online content.  The advertisements in the AdSense can be displayed on the website, mobile sites and the search results. Over 2 million publishers use AdSense for their business.

The benefits of Adsense are as follows:

1.  Revenue:  You are getting a large number of advertisers and so you can earn a lot of money from the relevant advertisements.
2. Control:  You can control the type of advertisements that appear on the page.
3. Insight:  The report in details show how the website is working for your income.
4. Tension free:  You can sign up to the website and you do not need any money for this signing up.  The website is easy to use.  You do not need a contract.

How To Start Your Adsense Account:

1.  If you are already using services of Google, like Gmail or AdWords, you are already having a Google Account.

If you do not have a Google Account, I will help you to set up one. 

2.  You must have a website that follows our company policies and on this website, your Google AdSense ads will be displayed.  This website must be six months old.  Then it will be approved.
3. A mailing address is required that has connection with the bank account.  Then you will receive the payments.

You need a postal address for the signup.

You need to use free web 2.0 site to get the approval of the Google AdSense account.

A Web 2.0 is a term named in 1999.  This is a technology utilizing the static pages of other web sites.  This site allows the users to communicate and exchange information with one another. 

Step 1- How to Find a Profitable Niche for Adsense

If your idea is great, you can earn a lot from the internet. Many people can earn a lot if they work hard and their idea is great.  The AdSense is a wonderful program of earning money.  It helps you as a website owner to earn profit from your website.  They become an advertising partner with Google.  The advertisers in Google can get  access and the product is pointed toward towards the AdSense page.  The market may also be guided to the AdSense page.  The market niche will be tapped by the AdSense page. 

When somebody clicks an AdSense advertisement, the Adsense website owner earns a percentage of the payment.  The advertisers provide payment for every visitor coming to the linked site.  This is commonly referred to as Pay-Per-Click Advertising.  Many websites have experienced the capacity of AdSense.  Most of them have been rejected by Google afterwards.

You need to find a niche for getting the website visitors to grab the market.  You will find a tough competition in the Internet market.  But if you go through the following steps, you will get definitely get that niche.

Niche on the basis of your area of interest:

The Adsense site should be based on your area of interest and then it will help you work with full dedication without watching the clock.   You will create a wonderful website on your favorite topic.

You must create a list of your favorite topics within a couple of minutes or hours.  Your list will be based on your priority.  You will get help from various websites providing ideas.  You will see those websites share ideas that have become popular on the internet.  You will find those websites have important keywords.

Finding similar people like you using the same niche:

You must find an online niche market.  This market will be your upcoming clients or customers in future.  If you want to earn from the Adsense website, then you must also find out the people who share the same interests.  Now to find this, you need to search with the keyword of your niche in the Google search engine. 

You need to visit the websites having forums of your niche.  You go on reading these forums to know about your target market. 

Some examples of profitable niche are evergreen niche such as  hair loss, muscle building, finance, education, etc.

 Hair loss is the loss of hair from the head or any part of the body.  Hair loss can be due to pulling of hair out of compulsion.  Sometimes iron deficiency might lead to alopecia.  There can be hair loss in patches.  So hair loss is a common problem and it can be a very good niche.

Muscle building is a great passion to the younger generation.  It is popular among men as well as women. O ld people can also try to build muscles, provided they have the capacity.  So this is a great niche and one Adsense site owner will find many other sites.  For muscle building, one needs to increase the calorie intake.  Protein intake is very important.  It is important to stay on a diet.  You can take 5 to 6 smaller meals in a day.  You need to take the optimum amount of fat.  You need to take a multivitamin supplements in your diet.  For body builder, warming up is very important.  Training time should be short but tough.  Take rest with at least 7 to 8 hours of sleep at night.  Reduce your stress level.

Finance is a very important niche for Adsense.  The top three keywords are insurance, loans, and mortgage.  As money is an inseparable part of life, so we need to use the top keywords to draw the attention of the website visitors.  This will raise the income from Adsense.

Education is indeed profitable niche for Adsense.  You can teach kids and offer private tuition services through blogs.  Every parent wants their children to be educated.  So they want  their children to be taught under guidance of a good tutor.

STEP 2- KEYWORD RESEARCHING

Keyword research is a very important part of Adsense.  You see the search engine optimization professionals using keywords.  They are the actual words used in the search engines.  The research helps the professionals rank the keywords.

Now, you have come to know the keyword research, you will now observe that keywords can be divided into three broad categories.  They are:

            1. Broad match keyword

            2. Pharse match keyword

            3. Exact match keyword

1.  Broad match keyword: 

We generally do bidding on a keyword in AdWords console.  You type the keyword without any decoration.  The advertisement will be seen on the screen as soon as the web surfer asks a question.  You can take it as a default option.  For example, if the tennis shoes is the keyword, then the ad word will be separate, ‘tennis’ and ‘shoes.’  The advertisement must match with the exact phrase.

2.   Phrase match keyword: 

This is the bidding of keyword within quotation marks.   This phrase ad will be useful when the searcher uses several words in a particular order just like a phrase.  The other words in the sentence must be long but the phrase should be the perfect one for matching keyword.  The examples are red technique.  The advertisements may show in their survey.  The financial support will not be shown on survey.

4.   Exact Match: 

While using keywords, you auction your keywords in brackets.  The keywords are written as [tennis shoes].  Your ads will be shown when you search specifically on the topic like “tennis shoes.”  You will not see the ads like red tennis shoes, tennis shoe, buy tennis shoes, etc.

You will use Exact Match Type keyword in the Adsense page.  This is very useful as it narrows down your search.  Focusing on a single topic is very important in the upcoming days as we need to increase our traffic. 

INTRODUCING FREE KEYWORD RESEARCH TOOL

The most important thing  in keyword research is to discover the related keywords.  The tools for finding keywords will be identified and you will use them in future.

You are going to use some of the free research tools available and they are as follows:

1.  KeywordEye.
2. KeywordSpy.
3. SEMRush.

KeywordEye is  created by a team of United Kingdom.  This is a tool meant for Google UK and if you are from United States of America, you need to change it to Google US.  Other countries can also use it. 

The free version offers you to work within 100 keywords.  It can be used for high level ideas.  It cannot be used as a substitute for keyword research.

The cloud visualization is an attractive feature.  It is done by Adwords competition or by the volume of search results.  The large font is used for high volume words.  It is chosen by Adwords competition.  It is an easy way of translation and localization.

KeywordSpy:  This helps us to keep watch on the keywords.  The free version has a large number of features.  It is a domain spy tool.  You need to search the domain in the search box.  You need to select the radio button.  You will get accurate data on paid search.  The tabs over the top are also working.  Each tab is providing you 10 to 20 results.  The information is very useful.

You will get to see top copies of Geico in the Ad page.  You get a “KW” button in the ad group.  The data can be exported into Excel, CSV or Google Spreadsheets.  The free products do not have export capacity.

There is a Top Lists page which gives us the information but you find no application.  Among them, we find a list of keywords which cost most per click.  You can observe the trends.

SEMRush:  This tool is available free as well as paid option.  You can get a lot of data free. 

There is a means of measuring  the results of Google.  You will understand the field of competition.  Rather than showing the number of competitors or those who provide payment, and also the amount, you will find 145 million other pages using the keyword.

SEOBook is a keyword search tool.  It is an intermediate between a tool and browser extension It will help you a lot.

You need to find profitable keywords.  This will help your legitimate home business to grow.  A keyword is a word that gives the information related to the services online.  If your keyword is profitable, then it will help  you earn a lot of money.  There are keywords with great search volume but are hardly profitable.  It is a part of the Home online business and proper research has got a high value. 

You must choose at least 10 keywords for your home online business.  Now you can add new keywords for earning money.  The keywords must be very popular and then you will be noticed like an attractive face easily by your blog visitors.

You can use long tail keywords.  You make a phrase of 3 to 5 words, then it is called a Long Tail Keywords. This tail will never fail.  You want to refine the search words in the page and so you apply the long tail keyword.  You also apply it when you are searching for something rather than being specific about it.  The long tail keywords tell you the content of the web page.  It also helps you understand the publisher.  You come to know about the search engine result page.  The keywords must be very specific.  The traffic quality is good and finally your conversion rate is also greater than normal keywords.  Welcome traffic jam!

Using long tail keywords, you capture a market that is smaller than the normal one. Here small is beautiful.  But the potential is quite large.  The cost is also less at the time of pay per click bidding.  This is a great way to narrow down your search.  For example, a long tail keyword like “blue fuzzy carrot shoes” is more specific than “fuzzy shoes,”  “fuzzy carrots” or “carrot shoes.” 

One should research to know the effectiveness of long tail keyword.  Only a small investment will give a good return.  The popularity of the business increases with long tail keyword.  Finally the price of bidding rises thereby bringing coveted smile on the user’s face.

You need to collect as much keywords as possible. This will help you get a large number of visitors like a shoal of fishes.  You need to find profitable keywords.  This is also an important step like search engine optimization (SEO).  You need to target the right keyword at the right place.  You need to choose the right phrase that will give you the solid return on investment. Looks easy, but really not.  You will give priority to less profitable but faster paying ones. 

You can work on sample promotion.  It can be explained with an imaginary downhill mountain biking website.  The website owner wants to the SEO of a new website with a new domain.  Your site must have a clean code having uniqueness in its content so that  products on the web pages can be crawled like a spider.

Your initial research is very important.  Your first logical step should be “Google AdWords Tool”.  Just type “downhill mountain bike”.  You select your match type as “exact” from “broad.”  You can go through the Google’s support page on match types. You may be lucky. 

You should sort out the keywords.  You remove the phrase that is not applicable.  You go through the brand phrases and see them keeping in mind on the return on investment.  You need to see the prospect of sales.  You need to arrange the phrases as per their importancelike a juggler.

You need to keep a watch on the level of competition of the phrases.  If  the phrases are prioritized and they will generate ample revenue. 

If you want to earn a dollar a day from Adsense, your blog must have 100 search engine visits and  the page view should be 250 per day.

High paying keywords can bring good search engine traffic.  So 2 to 3 clicks can help you earn 10 dollars.  If each click brings 1 to 3 dollars, then from 250 page views, you are earning 5 dollars easily! So your future clicks!

Search Volume is a means of measuring the popularity of the phrase and you get the highest return.  You tend to target big phrases and big numbers.  You should not forget the lower search volume keywords.  You should try to find high search volume with 1000+ match keywords.  Your blog will attract visitors like a mangnet..

STEP – 3:  KEYWORD ANALYSIS

You need to analyze the keywords.  The acceptance is very important factor.  Generally your customers will talk about their problems and you will speak about the solutions.  If you have dealt with customers, you know very well how they act and react.  You must use keywords that cannot be predicted.  You need to invest time as well as money for SEO. No pain, no gain. 

Keyword research tools act like a web browser.  You can get idea from any source.  There can be related keywords from the known ones.  We are not going to compete with keywords facing tough competition. 

There are certain things that should be considered while doing keyword analysis and they are as follows:

1.  Domain.
2. Domain age.
3. Page Rank.
4. Back link.
5.   Anchor text used for back link.

1.  Domain: 

It is an autonomy in the administration  It can also be described as a control or authority on the internet.  The domain name system outlines the rules and procedure.  The name consists of an Internet Protocol (IP) such as a personal computer utilized to get access to the internet.  A computer acts like a server to host a website and it is connected through the Internet.

2. Domain Age:

The age of the competitor’s domain is known.  If your domain is older, it will get some benefit in search engine rank.

3. Page Rank:

  It is a measurement of link analysis.  It is named after Larry Page.  It is applied in Google web search engine.

4. Back Link:

  Back Links are the links that connects to a web page.  The web node receives a link known as back link.  These links help us to move around on the web.  They are used in search engine optimization. The importance of a website is seen by the number of back links.

5.  Anchor text used for back link:

  In order to get high ranking in Google search engine, you need to anchor text appropriately.  This should be linked to a particular page of the website.  A particular keyword phrase has been targeted.  The anchor text is a part of the text that can be clicked.

The anchor text can be varied if there is relevance of words.  You have a website that sells “gift checks.”  Now create links using anchor texts like “gift checks”, “gift certificates”, “gift items,” which  help you move further in ranks in the future.  It is better than to focus on anchor texts “gift checks.”  But it will become useless if you do not use keywords like “gift” or “checks” or “gift checks.”   Always experiment and from trial and error you will learn a lot.

You need to understand the difficulty of the market.  Before you step into the new keyword vertically, you need to analyze keyword and it is known as Keyword Competition.

The keyword competition is the measurement of the difficulty in the ranking of the keyword.  The keyword can face competition depending on two factors.  They are popularity and industry competition.  The search marketers estimate the time taken for ranking at the top level.  Now if we go deep into the keyword analysis competition, we do it in the following way.  If somebody creates a new website in a new market, then the search results with SEO for Firefox is switched on.  This helps us getting data on site age, ranking of the page links.  If you  focus on domain name, then you look for site traffic estimates.  You may find good strength of the brand in the market. 

STEP 4: CREATE CONTENT

A content is something written on the website in a particular language.  You may add pictures to illustrate your point.  Sometimes you can add statistics and videos too.  Now, you can create content in 2 ways. 

1. Start writing on your own (this will save your money).
2. Outsource your content (this will save your time).

You need to research the keyword topic online.  You can browse the Google search engine and find relevant data to write your content in a lucid style.  Your content must be informative.  You can find the best information for content writing in article directories and competition.

You can rewrite the content to create a brand new article.  Rewriting is important as it will give your content a fresh look. 

There is another option.  You can outsource your content.  You may be busy with a number of activities and so you recruit a content writer who can write for you.  There are many talented content writers.

There are a number of ways to get a content writer.  You can use Iwriter, oDesk, elance.  You need to convince your writers that you have never written a content before. 

STEP-5-REGISTER A DOMAIN NAME

Domain name is used to check many IP addresses.  For example, the Microsoft has a number of IP addresses.  The web pages are marked in the URLs by their domain names.  The domain name for the URL http://www.pcwebopedia/index.html is pcwebopedia.com.

You can buy domain names from godaddy, 101domain, dollar2host, mochahost, crazydomains, maddogdomains, etc.

HOW TO CHOOSE DOMAIN NAME

You can choose the right domain name by making the domain unique, just choosing the dot com available domains, easy to type, easy to remember, short name of domain, fulfill expectation from the name itself, avoiding copyright infringement, uniqueness of the brand. Rejection of hyphens and numbers, not following the recent trends, useful websites for domain name search like AJAXWhois and Domjax can help you.  There is no need for you to buy from those sites but to check and finally choose your own registrar. 

 In old days, we used exact match domain.  After the launch of exact match domain algorithm, it is not required in the ranking process.

Your domain name must match with your chosen niche.  You should not add more than five articles and create back links to small websites.  You should not create back link with new websites but with big websites.  It must be remembered that content is king. 

The .com, .net, and .org are unrestricted open domains. The  ‘.com’ can be used for commercial business.  .net is used by organization related to network, ‘.org’ is used by nonprofit organization.  You will use ‘.com’.  In 1984 .’com and .net’ were created.  The .com, .net, .org are labels that define the administrative autonomy.  It establishes the authority or control of the organization over the Internet. The .com can be used by companies and corporations.  It is used for community in USA.  The .com, .net and .org are the top level domains

STEP 6: REGISTER A HOSTING

A hosting is a type of Internet hosting service allowing individuals and organizations to connect their website with the World Wide Web.  A space is provided in the server by the company.  These companies are known as web hosts.  They provide the internet connection.  Basically they are used for web page and File Transfer Protocol (FTP).  Generally personal website hosting costs less than the business websites. 

You need to buy a host as you must store the files of your website.  It is a space on a remote computer.  Sometimes domain names are provided free with web hosting.  Some companies that will provide you free domain names are Bluehost, hostmonster, iPage, FatCow, JustHost. 

You can create your own website but to make it available worldwide, you need to buy a host.

STEP 7: BUILDING A WEBSITE

            You are going to use WordPress for the website building. 

            WordPress is a tool for free and open source blogging.  It is based on PHP and MySQL.  Plug-in architecture and template systems are found.  Over 14.7% (about 1 million) websites use WordPress.  It is a highly popular means of blogging on the internet.  It powers 60 million websites in the world wide web. 

Matt Mullenweg and Mike Little founded WordPress on May 27,2003.   WordPress 3.0 has a high demand and it has been downloaded over 65 million times. 

Some interesting features of WordPress are as follows:

1.  You can install and switch between WordPress themes.  Changing different themes means  changing the appearance of the web page without changing anything at the content.
2. The plugin of WordPress helps the developers to go beyond their core installation.  You can find a database of 24,000 plugins.  The users can design the website as per their need. 
3. Widgets are small modules.  The sidebar can be dragged and dropped and you can place the content through plugins. 
4. WordPress offers multi-user and multi-blogging facility.  WordPress Multi-User has evolved to facilitate a number of blogs in one installation. 
5. Mobiles:  Native applications are seen in WebOS, Android, iOS,   Windows Phone, Blackberry.  You can use your mobile to post new blogs, commenting, replying and moderating the comments, etc.

You need to download the installation package.  You should only download WordPress.  Then you need to extract the archive.  You upload the archive to your web hosting account.  You can use FTP (file transfer protocol). 

You can use the client application Filezilla.  You can also do this through cpanel, then file manager, and finally upload files.  If your installation file is the main part of your website, the location of the file is public ‘.html’ folder in the account.  You can create a subfolder i.e. public_html/blog.  You can run a part of the website in WordPress.

The next step is to navigate the website and begin the process of installation.  You can upload in the public_html directory.  You must go to http://yourdomain.com using your browser like Google, Mozilla.  You need to create a wp-config.php file.  Just click on “Create a Configuration File” to proceed.

You will notice a message for the installation.  You need to create a database of MySQL.  Create a username and get the permission.  After receiving the information on database, you click on Let’s go! button.  You enter the details of MySQL database and enter the Submit button.

As you go to the next screen, you enter the administrative username and name of a new website.  You can provide your requirement for search engine. 

After filling up the information, press the button marked “Install WordPress.”  You need a genuine email ID.  This email ID is used if you forget your password.

   In this way, you have installed your WordPress application.  You can contact the admin support by clicking the Log In button.
