HOW ROBOTIC TECHNOLOGY CURES PAIN

Robotic technology now helps to cure pain and save time as well. In 1960 the robotic technology was first used for surgery by United States of America. Then this technology evolved for the last two decades. But at present the device which is used to perform surgery was given permission in 2005.  This robot has improved as time progressed.

This surgical system can be divided into three divisions.  They are console, side cart and visual system.  The doctor sits in front of the console using visual system and directs the operation.  The tools present in the side cart are inserted into the body of the patient.  The specialty of this technology is that the doctor can see the 3D and normal image.  As a result, he can do the surgery with precision.  The artificial intelligence of the device helps the doctor.  The patients can ask a question: how they are going to benefit?    In simple words, the holes created for making the surgery are very tiny.  There is less amount of bleeding and the pain also is quite less.  The patient does not feel the pain.  The patient can return to his normal life within a few days.  The patient lives in the hospital for a few days.  It does not require more than 3-4 days.

As per statistics, the technical fault in this type of surgery is quite less.  It is less than half per cent.  The robot surgery has become so improved with time that all types of surgery are possible through this method.  This technique is used in the operation of the heart.  It is also used in the cure of female disease.  This technique is used for the beautification of our body and to correct infertility for childless couples.

There is only one barrier to adopting this technology.  It is the cost.  If any hospital decides to introduce this robotic technology, it has to invest millions of dollar.  The patient needs to spend at least 1 million dollar to perform this operation.  There are other incidental charges added to the bill. The surgeons will improve their expertise as they use the robotic machine more and more on the patients.

As it is a very expensive surgery, the number of competent doctor is quite inadequate.  There is no international guideline for using this technology.  There must be guidelines for using this robotic technology.  The surgeons all over the world must negotiate to develop methods to use robotic technology.
