Motherhood can be an emotional drain. Mothers regard their
life as a long battle. They are annoyed
at their children’s behavior. Mothers
who run business feel more irritated.
They feel their life is spoiled after motherhood. One often cannot be a good mother as she finds
herself in eligible for that role.
The negative feelings of motherhood might be suppressed and
this is a sign of clinical depression.
One should not look at a mother’s role as full of trouble. The pent-up
feelings reflect that she needs to be
focused and be happy and optimistic
with children. A mother of 25 years age experienced a
postpartum depression. This accumulated
and became an endogenous depression.
As a mother, one should accept the developmental behavior of
her children. This is part of life. One should not take parenting as a burden and
take it as a part of life. Somebody who
thinks motherhood as a struggle should try to think in the perspective of the
child. The mother should think and
understand herself the reason for sadness.
She should take help
from her husband. She can also take
professional assistance. The postnatal depression is often suppressed by the
media but in reality, it is just different.
Generally a woman finds it difficult to admit her depression.
Her communication skill
is lost. She cannot take
decisions. Sometimes her feelings are
not respected.
The solution of motherhood problems is to avoid taking important
decisions. The family members should
always help her. The family and friends
show their concern for her. She can take
the help of child protection services when she is unable or takes alcohol or drugs. The child protection service helps the mother
to get back to her normal state. We need
to encourage her to share her feelings.
