The area where you are going to place the patio umbrella has to be big.  The parachute has been opened and cut out a hole in the middle.  The diameter of the hole should be that of a grommet.   The grommet is put in the hole with the help of a hammer. 

Next, you need to create two holes on the metal pole of the patio umbrella.  The first hole is created about 1 inch away from the top.  From the top, the second hole is created 3 inches away.  You should create holes of bigger diameter.  These holes should allow the bolt to pass into the pole.

Next, you need the nut to fix the bolt at the hole in the bottom of the patio umbrella.  You need to make sure the bolt can be seen on either sides of the pole.

Next, you should attach the parachute with the pole of the patio umbrella.  The nut is used to fix the bolt on the upper hole.  You should place it in such a way it can be seen from both directions. 

Next, you need to lift the pole and keep it on the base.  You can do this step with another friend.  You can fix the pole properly with a screw so that the patio umbrella stays in its position. 

Next, you can fix this patio umbrella on the ground.  Then you fix it with the stakes.  You can also use hook screws and fix it on the ground.     You need to make sure the cords are fixed strongly to the stake.  You should take care so that they don’t become loose.
